CARES®/HealthCare Interactive

CARES® is an award-winning series of dementia care training programs developed with the Alzheimer’s Association and recognized by CMS. The programs use the CARES® Approach 5-step method and incorporate evidence-based practices from the Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Care Practice Recommendations. Topics include the basics of dementia, behavior as communication, safety, pain, dementia-related behavior, activities of daily living, end-of-life, serious mental illness, and elder abuse. The training is for staff at all levels and meets state and federal dementia training requirements.
