Bruce Berlin, a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and Certified Dementia Practitioner, is the Founder & Chief Experience Officer at Prioriteams, a leadership training & development company specializing in equipping & encouraging leaders to create high-performance teams through customized learning experiences. Bruce’s mission is to give leaders HOPE (Help Overcoming Post-Covid Exhaustion) by showing them how to put practices into place with their teams to create emotional connectedness, interdependence, and unity, that will strengthen employee engagement and retention, and enable leaders to experience work/life harmony.
Prior to this, Bruce led Life Plan Communities in the senior living industry as an Executive Director for over 25 years after spending 10 years in the hotel industry. During his career Bruce developed strong employee and resident cultures which have resulted in high levels employee engagement, resident satisfaction, and profitability. Under his leadership, Indian River Estates in Florida was one of first Life Plan Communities in the world to receive Gold Level Montessori-Inspired Lifestyle credentialling and The Garlands of Barrington in Illinois received the ICAA’s Innovator Award & NuStep’s Pinnacle Award for their wellness programming. While in the hotel industry, Bruce was awarded Promus Companies’ (then the parent company of Embassy Suites Hotels, Harrah’s Casinos, Hampton Inns and Homewood Suites) highest honor, The Chairman’s Award for Excellence in Managing People.
Bruce has spoken for over 20 years on leadership, employee engagement, organizational development and quality improvement as a keynote and education session speaker at annual association conferences, including the California Assisted Living Association, Illinois Health Care Association, Association for Healthcare Foodservice, and LeadingAge’s national and state conferences in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maine/New Hampshire, Michigan, Oregon, North Carolina, New Jersey/Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas.
Bruce holds bachelor’s degrees in Business Management from Santa Clara University and in Hotel Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is also a 3-time Coach for the LeadingAge Florida Leadership Academy, Chair for LeadingAge Florida’s Education Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for Indian River County Youth for Christ and Elder Board for Vero Bible Fellowship church.
