Patricia Horn is the Community Executive Director and Co-Owner of Cedar Hill Continuing Care Community in Windsor, Vt. The community was founded 35 years ago by Patricia’s mother, a Nursing Home Administrator and RN, and another RN/DNS when they purchased a 30-bed nursing home in an 1840s house. Today, the community has a skilled nursing home, memory care and an assisted living and is a respected long-term care community. Before Patricia moved to Vermont to run the family business and become a licensed nursing home administrator, she was an award-winning business reporter at the Philadelphia Inquirer, Fort-Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel and Sarasota Herald-Tribune. Aside from a career as a lawyer or politician, she has found success in two of the most widely “vented at” professions in the United States. Patricia is a licensed nursing home administrator and has a master in journalism.
